COMPANY OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Abby Couriers is a family business already renowned for its excellent Business-to-Business strategy and ongoing commitment to Staff Training and Development.

This leading company is seeking to recruit a motivated Operations Supervisor who will report in to the Senior Operations Manager.

 

You will ensure that the services provided meet the delivery, quality and timeline requirements of both the customer and the company for various niche sectors in a fast moving service industry. This will include driver management, recruitment and process control. The strong individual required will be able to provide accurate quotations, develop strong relationships with the customers and will have an excellent telephone manner. We are looking for a bright and professional team player.

 

Job Description:
Assist the Senior Operations Manager with :

Distribution of work and day to day management of couriers
Recruitment of couriers including interviews
Liaison with customers about their requirements and queries
Admin of department including compliance procedures
Observation all Health and Safety requirements
Attendance on training courses as required
Any other reasonable duties that may be required

Good administration skills
Able to work on own initiative and communicate effectively with staff and customers
Able to work effectively under pressure in a busy time sensitive environment
Driving license and car essential

 

Location: 
Basildon Head Office, Essex

 

Hours:
45+ per week, 5 days over 6, between 6am & 6pm

 

Training:
Extensive and ongoing in house training as well as the opportunity to participate in courses and work relevant to role

 

Salary:  
£18,025 per annum
